WHAT MY CLIENTS SAY
-
Manager, Health & Wellbeing, APAC
Taking the Mindfulness & Self-Compassion course with Michelle was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and wellbeing. My journey with Michelle began in 2020 after a health condition linked to chronic burnout and a lack of self-care. What truly stands out about Michelle is her ability to meet you exactly where you are, creating a pace that feels both natural and supportive. She has a gift for breaking down the complexities of the human experience into practical, in-the-moment mindfulness techniques that were essential in my recovery. Her approach blends a no-fluff, evidence-based and clinical approaches with a soulful touch, creating an experience that is both profound and actionable.
I had seen her speak at corporate wellbeing events before, and her depth of knowledge and ability to translate it for both personal and organisational settings are top-notch. Michelle also places a strong emphasis on building from the inside out, focusing on nurturing an “inner toolkit” that remains useful for me even after the course ends. I wholeheartedly recommend Michelle to anyone seeking practical, sustainable wellbeing techniques that seamlessly blend different modalities to help you move from burnout to a place of true balance.

I am incredibly grateful for my time working with Michelle. As a high-achiever, when I first came to her, I was navigating the challenges of burnout recovery and feeling overwhelmed. However, working with her, I can confidently say that I am now thriving.
Michelle was an exceptional guide throughout this journey. Her open, balanced, and inclusive approach created a safe space for me to explore my challenges surrounding perfectionism and transformed my mindset. The experience has been nothing short of life-changing.
I have gained essential tools that I now use in my daily life, including mindfulness practices that helped me navigate uncertainty and change. Michelle helped me shift my perceptions, allowing me to respond to old triggers with new attitudes.
The entire process was deeply self-revealing, and I cannot thank Michelle enough for her support and guidance. I am no longer the same person I was before; I feel empowered and equipped for my journey ahead.
Thank you, Michelle, for being such an amazing Sherpa on this path!

I have engaged Michelle in counselling sessions for the better part of last year. In my experience, she has great bedside manners while asking relevant questions to extract and get to the core of issues confronting her clients. She is a good listener and provides direction. She clearly cares deeply for her clients and has an easy and amiable style of communication.
She is also focused on development, growth and getting beyond merely intervention. She diligently follows up from her sessions, takes notes and has a good recall on past issues. I would highly recommend her expertise and counsel to anyone considering getting help!

PSYCHOTHERAPY / COUNSELLING FAQS
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy is a safe, supportive space to explore challenges, gain insight, and develop tools to improve your mental and emotional well-being. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking clarity, therapy can help you navigate life’s struggles and achieve personal growth.
What issues can I bring to individual therapy?
You can bring a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, stress, perfectionism, life transitions, relationship challenges, or self-esteem issues. Therapy provides a judgment-free zone to work through whatever is on your mind.
How long does therapy typically take to see results?
The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and challenges. Some clients see improvement in a few sessions, while others engage in longer-term work for deeper transformation. Together, we’ll determine the approach that works best for you.
What therapeutic approaches do you use in individual therapy?
I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Couples Therapy and mindfulness-based techniques, tailored to your unique needs and goals.
Will what I share in therapy remain confidential?
Yes, everything you share in therapy is strictly confidential. The only exceptions involve situations where I am legally obligated to disclose information, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.
How can therapy help with pregnancy or postpartum challenges?
As a therapist certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C), I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing pregnancy or postpartum challenges including postpartum depression, anxiety, birth trauma and loss.
Can therapy help me manage the emotional challenges of transitioning into parenthood?
Yes, therapy can help you navigate the stresses of parenthood, including identity changes, relationship dynamics, and adjustments to this new phase of life. We’ll work together to build coping skills, manage emotional challenges, and strengthen your confidence as a parent.
How does the Gottman Method Couples Therapy work, and what makes it different from other approaches?
The Gottman Method is a science-based approach to relationship counseling, grounded in over 40 years of research on what makes relationships thrive. It focuses on improving communication, building emotional intimacy, and resolving conflicts constructively. As a therapist trained in the Gottman Method, I use proven techniques to help couples strengthen their connection, deepen understanding, and create lasting harmony.
